Students had an amazing time launching our satellite! Our families showed up and assisted our students and brought snacks and drinks!  Everyone helped troubleshoot with the kids to launch the satellite. Anieesh, our TJ student, was so knowledgeable and friendly with the students. His dad joined us as well to assist. Ms. Jane Iyengar, an engineering teacher at TJ was there to offer support, too. The 200-acre site is owned and operated by a group of veterans who were thrilled to assist.

Makayla’s dad is an engineer at Lockheed Martin and posed a number of critical thinking questions to the students during the launch. Students reviewed and interpret the data afterwards.

In the middle of all of this, the kids were being kids and running in the open field after we launched. It was amazing!  We love our Panthers!
