Glasgow Library Catalog

FCPS Online Databases and Ebooks

Books & More Our library provides a wide range of print and online resources for students in support of the curriculum and enrichment. The collection includes over 30,000 items, including books, magazines & newspapers, eBooks, audiobooks, videos and DVDs.  We have books in several other languages with Spanish and Arabic titles making up the bulk of the foreign language collection.  Glasgow Library also provides access to dozens of databases covering every subject area. Log onto Blackboard for a complete list of databases (and necessary passwords) as well as access to the library’s online catalog.

Students will come to the library with their English classes once every three weeks to check out books and learn information & research skills.  They can also come at other times during the day with a pass from a teacher.  Books are loaned for a 3 week period; magazines may be borrowed overnight.  Most items can be renewed for 3 additional weeks but you must bring the book to the library for a renewal. Please remember that everything must be checked out at the circulation desk before it leaves the library.  We do not charge overdue fines at Glasgow but all overdue materials must be returned before other items can be borrowed.  Any lost or damaged books must be paid for in order to continue checking out books.

Your Librarians

Our goal at Glasgow Library is to help you learn to be an independent and successful library user.  Knowing how to find resources for school projects or personal interests, find information in books or online and locate books to read just for fun are skills you will use throughout your school career and as an adult, too.  But your librarians are here to help you!  Just ask us if you are having trouble using the library catalog or finding the best resource on your topic or if you need a suggestion for a good book to enjoy. We’ll do our best to help you find just what you need.
