What Makes Glasgow Middle School Special

We Are Proud of Our Glasgow Panthers!

10 Reasons for Panther Pride

One

Academic Achievement

Glasgow students love science! In the last three years, our students have seen gains in overall science proficiency. Many of them participate in the after-school Science Olympiad.

School Culture

Glasgow Middle School is tackling chronic absenteeism and tardiness head-on. In the 2024-25 school year, we recorded an 85% increase in students with no tardies in the first quarter. Our School Administrators, Counselors, AVID teachers, and Systems of Support Advisor collaborate on helping to reduce student absences.

Facilities and Resources

Glasgow Middle School has the resources for STEAM learning! Our school has many after-school activities focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, such as Capital One Coders and Robotics Club. Recently, we won a grant from the Toshiba America Foundation to buy a 3D printer.

Student Growth and Progress

Glasgow Middle School encourages positive student behavior and creates a culture of belonging using the 8 Keys to Excellence: Integrity, learn from mistakes, speak honestly and kindly, positive attitude and actions, responsibility, take positive risks, balance school and play, and open to learning new ideas. Teachers give out Panther Cards to students who display the Keys. We handed out hundreds of cards in the first quarter, including 841 cards for students behaving responsibly, 268 cards for students displaying integrity, and 281 for students taking positive risks.
