Staff Spotlight

Years at Glasgow MS: This school year, 21/22, is my 18th year at Glasgow.

Years in FCPS: This is the start of my 29th year teaching. The first 11 were at Greenbriar East Elementary in FCPS. Before that I worked for 11 years as a lender and bill collector in Baltimore; Lake City, Fl; and Denver.

Why do you love working at Glasgow? I feel called to serve the kids here at Glasgow. There are various needs, and we work together as a community to try to give students what they need. I appreciate being part of that.

What books are you currently reading? I am reading a book by Steve Hamilton called The Hunting Wind. I will soon be reading a series about a K9 officer and her dog Robo, set in a mountain town North of Denver. I just finished the one named Burning Ridge, and will soon be starting the next one in the series, Tracking Game. I am also reading Proverbs and James.

What are your hobbies and interests? A while ago I liked to do woodworking. I made an end table for my Mom out of curly cherry wood. I also like to do yard work to keep things up at home. I used to reenact a Civil War chaplain.
